Take your workouts to the next level with Xplosiv's PING Ultimate Pre-Workout, available in Grape, Lemon Lime, Raspberry, and Tropical. Building on the success of our previous formula, which sold hundreds of thousands of servings, we’ve revamped PING to not only meet but exceed your fitness demands.
108mg of caffeine, 1500mg of L-Citrulline and 1000mg of Beta-Alanine in every 4g scoop. Xplosiv Ping Ultimate Pre-Workout is a flavoured, scalable pre-workout powder made for Xplosiv and stocked and shipped in New Zealand. Every active is printed on the label at its real dose — no proprietary blend — across four flavours: Grape, Lemon Lime, Raspberry and Tropical.
Take 1 scoop for a standard serve or 2 scoops for a stronger one, mixed with 400ml of water about 30 minutes before training. Do not exceed 2 scoops (216mg caffeine) in a single serve.
Dose it your way, 1 scoop or 2.
A fully-disclosed pre-workout with caffeine for alertness, L-Citrulline for pump and Beta-Alanine for endurance — scalable from a measured 108mg of caffeine up to 216mg, in four flavours.
Four actives, every dose shown
Caffeine — 108mg per scoop. Caffeine is a stimulant that helps increase alertness and supports mental focus, and can reduce the perception of tiredness and fatigue. At 108mg in one scoop (216mg in two), you get a measured dose you can dial up or down — not a hidden amount behind a blend.
L-Citrulline — 1500mg per scoop. L-Citrulline is an amino acid included in pre-workouts to support blood flow and the “pump” feeling during training. One scoop delivers 1500mg; a two-scoop serve delivers 3000mg. The full amount is on the label so you can see exactly what you’re getting.
Beta-Alanine — 1000mg per scoop. Beta-Alanine is used to support muscular endurance during repeated high-intensity efforts. It can cause a temporary, harmless tingling on the skin (paraesthesia) — that’s a normal, well-known effect of beta-alanine, not a sign of anything wrong.
Niacin (B3) and Vitamin B12. Each scoop provides 15mg of niacin and 3.0mcg of vitamin B12, which contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Ping also lists 32mg of N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine and 45mg of potassium per scoop — both shown at their actual amounts in the Supplement Facts tab.
A printed label vs a hidden blend
The difference is transparency and control. Plenty of pre-workouts hide their amounts inside a “proprietary blend.” Ping prints every active in milligrams and lets you choose a 1- or 2-scoop serve.
- Every active printed: 108mg caffeine, 1500mg citrulline, 1000mg beta-alanine per scoop
- Scalable serve — 1 scoop or 2, your call
- Four flavours; 80 single-scoop serves per tub
- No proprietary blend hiding the doses
- Total blend weight shown, individual doses hidden
- Hard to know how much caffeine you’re taking
- No way to verify each active is dosed
- Caffeine only — no citrulline or beta-alanine
- Often a fixed dose you can’t scale down easily
- No flavour options to mix and sip
Comparison is to general product categories, not any specific brand. What suits you depends on your caffeine tolerance and training.

Start with one scoop
Assess your tolerance first. If you’re new to Ping or to caffeine, start with 1 scoop (108mg caffeine) and see how it sits before going to two. Do not exceed 2 scoops (216mg caffeine) in a single serve.
- Mix it: add 1 scoop (4g) to 400ml of cold water and shake or stir until dissolved. Use 2 scoops (8g) for a stronger serve.
- Time it: drink about 30 minutes before training so it’s working by your first set.
- Mind your total caffeine: caffeine can affect sleep, so many people avoid late-day doses. Don’t combine Ping with other stimulant products (other pre-workouts, caffeine pills or energy drinks).

Every dose printed, no blend
What’s on the label is what’s in the tub. Ping shows each active in milligrams — caffeine, L-Citrulline, Beta-Alanine, tyrosine and vitamins — so you always know what you’re taking and can scale your serve to suit your tolerance.
We’d rather print the exact milligrams than hide them in a blend. If your tub ever arrives damaged or not as described, contact Xplosiv and we’ll make it right.
Questions, answered
How much caffeine is in Ping?
Each 4g scoop contains 108mg of natural caffeine, so a two-scoop serve has 216mg. For context, that’s roughly one to two cups of coffee. Do not exceed 2 scoops (216mg) in a single serve, and keep your total caffeine from all sources sensible through the day.
Should I take 1 scoop or 2?
Start with 1 scoop (108mg caffeine, 1500mg citrulline, 1000mg beta-alanine) and see how it sits. If you tolerate it well and want a stronger serve, use 2 scoops, which doubles every active. Two scoops is the maximum in a single serve. New users and anyone caffeine-sensitive should stay at one.
What does L-Citrulline do?
L-Citrulline is an amino acid commonly used in pre-workouts to support blood flow and the “pump” feeling during training. Ping provides 1500mg per scoop, or 3000mg in a two-scoop serve. The full amount is printed on the label rather than hidden inside a proprietary blend.
Why does Beta-Alanine make my skin tingle?
That tingling is paraesthesia — a temporary, harmless skin sensation that beta-alanine is well known for. It’s not an allergic reaction or a sign of anything wrong, and it fades on its own. Ping contains 1000mg of beta-alanine per scoop, which is included to support muscular endurance during high-intensity training.
What flavours are available, and do the ingredients change?
Ping comes in Grape, Lemon Lime, Raspberry and Tropical. The active ingredients and their doses are the same across all four — only the natural flavour and natural colour change. Reviews on this page are pooled across every flavour, so they reflect the formula rather than one variant.
When should I take it, and will it affect my sleep?
Most people mix a serve with 400ml of water about 30 minutes before training. Because caffeine is a stimulant and can affect sleep, many people avoid taking it later in the day. Use the smallest serve that works for you, and don’t combine it with other stimulant products.
Who should not take Ping?
It’s not suitable for children, anyone under 18, or anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. People who are sensitive to caffeine, who have a heart condition or high blood pressure, or who already use other stimulant products should avoid it. If you take medication or are unsure, talk to your healthcare professional first.
