Each result applies to the batch named in its own row and to no other. Full workings, the method, and how we handled every judgement call are in that product’s dossier.
The honest part
What This Proves — and What It Doesn’t
Publishing lab reports is worth very little if we let you read more into them than they actually say. So here is the boundary, in plain terms.
- A result covers one batch. That’s all.
- Every report describes the batch named on it, tested on the date shown. It says nothing about a batch made before or after it. That is why we publish batch numbers rather than a blanket claim that everything we make is tested.
- Each test looks for specific things
- A protein assay measures protein. It is not a banned-substance screen, and a banned-substance panel is not a heavy-metals test. When you read a result, read which test produced it — a pass on one says nothing about the others.
- Detection has a floor
- Every method has a limit below which a substance will not be detected, and panels only look for substances already on the list. A newly emerging compound may not be included in a standard panel yet. “Not detected” is not the same as “not present”.
- Certification lowers risk. It cannot remove it.
- HASTA certification meaningfully reduces the chance of a banned substance being present — that is exactly why we use it — but no screening programme can guarantee zero contamination, and HASTA says so itself. If you compete, keep following your anti-doping organisation’s guidance: supplement risk guidance is worth reading, and ultimately you remain responsible for what you take.

And if something's not right, we'll say so.
Transparency isn't selective. You'll see the numbers here — good or bad — and if something's off, we'll own it and fix it. Publicly. No exceptions.

Human and Supplement Testing Australia. An independent programme that screens certified batches against the WADA Prohibited List — over 250 substances.
Scope: our NZ Whey and NZ Isolate. Certification is granted batch by batch, and each certified batch is listed publicly under Xplosiv.

Four Checks, Independently Run
What we test depends on the product. For our protein range — NZ Whey and NZ Isolate — it's these four, run independently. Other ranges get the checks that matter for them. Either way, nothing's released on trust alone.
Protein content
Verified against the number on the label, within normal analytical variation.
Heavy metals
Screened for lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury on the finished product.
Contaminants
Microbiological and contaminant screening after blending and packing.
250+ banned substances
HASTA certified — the independent banned-substance screening drug-tested athletes rely on.

How the Testing Actually Works
Who runs the test, by which method, on what sample. If we can’t tell you that, we don’t publish the number.
Independent labs, not our own bench
Protein and contaminant testing is run by Eurofins, an IANZ-accredited laboratory. Accreditation means the lab’s methods and competence are independently assessed — not self-declared.
Reference methods, named
Protein content is measured by ISO 8968-1 (Kjeldahl, N×6.38) — the dairy reference method. We publish the method alongside the number so the result can be compared like for like, rather than against a figure produced some other way.
The plant is audited separately
Our manufacturing site is audited by SGS and AsureQuality. That verifies the facility and its systems — which is a different question from what is in a given tub. We keep the two apart on purpose.
