Athletech ISO 27 is a whey protein isolate and hydrolysate powder, manufactured in New Zealand, that puts 27 g of protein in every 34 g serve. The whole point is the label: every flavour's macros and full amino profile are printed in plain numbers, not hidden behind a blend. Low in carbs and fat, lean by design, and made in four flavours.

The formula, in plain English

Why isolate plus hydrolysate?

Two forms of whey, one job. Whey protein isolate is whey that's been filtered to strip out most of the carbohydrate and fat, so what's left is mostly protein — which is how ISO 27 lands at roughly 80–84 g of protein per 100 g with under 1 g of fat per serve.

Hydrolysate is whey, pre-cut. Hydrolysis breaks the protein into shorter chains during manufacture. Combined with the isolate base, it makes for a lighter, easy-mixing shake that goes down easily post-training or as a daily protein top-up.

Whey is a complete protein. Each serve carries the full set of essential amino acids — around 13.5–14.3 g of EAAs and 6.7–7.0 g of BCAAs, including roughly 3.2–3.5 g of leucine. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.

The protein with the receipts.

Plenty of proteins keep the detail vague until you turn the tub over. ISO 27 leads with it. Here's the test you can run on any protein on the shelf.

Every number, in plain text

The full Supplement Facts for all four flavours sit on the Supplement Facts tab as real text you can read and search — not a picture. Energy, protein, fat, carbs, sugars, sodium and the amino profile, per serve and per 100 g, flavour by flavour. If you're putting it in your shaker every day, you're owed the full label.

Taste

Four flavours, sweetened lightly.

ISO 27 comes in Milk Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana and Salted Caramel, each built on natural flavours and sweetened with sucralose — no added sugar in the recipe (0.0–0.2 g sugars per serve). Milk Chocolate, Vanilla and Salted Caramel carry a touch of New Zealand sea salt; Banana is made without it. Pick the flavour that fits your routine, then check the protein, carbs and fat per serve on the cards above.

How to use

One scoop, your way.

  1. Mix one 34 g scoop with 200–300 ml of cold water or milk. Shake for about 10 seconds.
  2. Time it to suit you — after training, between meals, or whenever you want to top up your daily protein.
  3. Find your number — use one or more serves a day to help reach your protein target alongside whole foods.
  4. Store it cool and dry — reseal the tub after each use and keep the scoop inside.
Is it for you?

Built for the label-reader.

Built for

  • Lifters and athletes wanting a high-protein, low-carb, low-fat shake
  • Anyone topping up daily protein with a light, easy-mixing isolate
  • People who read the panel before they buy
  • Those who want the macros and aminos printed per flavour

Not for

  • Anyone with a milk or soy allergy
  • Vegans or anyone avoiding dairy (this is a whey protein)
  • People wanting a high-calorie mass-gainer
  • Children, except on advice from a healthcare professional
Stack with

Round out the routine.

Cover the protein, then build around it. Athletes in a training block often run ISO 27 alongside Athletech Pürest Creatine for the training side, a good shaker for an even mix, and an electrolyte for longer sessions. ISO 27 covers the protein; the rest is up to your goal.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How much protein is in a serve of ISO 27?
27 g of protein per 34 g scoop, depending on flavour — from 27.1 g in Milk Chocolate up to 28.7 g in Banana. That works out to roughly 80–84 g of protein per 100 g. Every flavour's exact figure is printed on the Supplement Facts tab.
What is the difference between whey isolate and hydrolysate?
Isolate is whey filtered down to mostly protein, with most of the carbohydrate and fat removed. Hydrolysate is whey broken into shorter chains during manufacture. ISO 27 uses both: an isolate base plus hydrolysate, for a light, easy-mixing shake.
How many carbs and how much fat are in ISO 27?
Between 1.2 g and 1.8 g of carbohydrate and under 1 g of fat per 34 g serve, depending on flavour. Sugars range from 0.0 g to 0.2 g per serve. The full per-serve and per-100 g breakdown is on the Supplement Facts tab.
What flavours does ISO 27 come in?
Four flavours: Milk Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana and Salted Caramel. Each uses natural flavours and is sweetened with sucralose, with no added sugar in the recipe. Milk Chocolate, Vanilla and Salted Caramel include a little New Zealand sea salt; Banana is made without it. The macros differ slightly by flavour, so check the cards on this page.
Does ISO 27 contain any allergens?
Yes — it contains Milk (whey) and Soy (lecithin). The emulsifier may be soy or sunflower lecithin, so Soy is declared to cover both. It is made on shared equipment, so it is not suitable for anyone with a milk or soy allergy.
How many servings are in a tub?
About 27 servings in the 907 g (2 lb) tub, at one 34 g scoop per serve. Use one or more serves a day to help reach your daily protein target alongside whole foods. The exact serving count can vary slightly with how level each scoop is filled.
When should I take ISO 27?
Whenever it suits your day — after training, between meals, or as a daily protein top-up. Mix one scoop with 200–300 ml of cold water or milk and shake for about 10 seconds. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.

Allergens

Contains Milk (Whey) and Soy (Lecithin). The emulsifier may be soy or sunflower lecithin — Soy is declared to cover both batches. Made on equipment that also handles other allergens. Not suitable for anyone with a milk or soy allergy, or for vegans. Full ingredients for each flavour are on the Supplement Facts tab.
