- Two 680 g tubs of MuscleTech Nitro-Tech — 1,360 g total, flavour chosen per tub.
- 30 g protein per scoop from a whey isolate and peptide blend, plus 6.8 g BCAAs.
- 3 g creatine monohydrate already in every scoop — no second tub to measure.
- Low carb, low fat: 3 g carbohydrate and 2.5 g fat per scoop.
The MuscleTech Nitro-Tech 2-Pack is two 680 g tubs of Nitro-Tech — MuscleTech’s original whey protein powder, built on an isolate-and-peptide blend with creatine monohydrate already mixed into every scoop. Each scoop provides 30 g of protein, 6.8 g of BCAAs and 3 g of creatine monohydrate. This listing is the two-tub pack: 1,360 g of powder in a single order, with each tub’s flavour chosen separately. It is sold in New Zealand as a Formulated Supplementary Sports Food.
Two tubs. 30 g of protein a scoop.
Two tubs, one order. The Nitro-Tech pack for lifters who empty a single 680 g tub before the training block is over. Whey isolate and whey peptides, with 3 g of creatine monohydrate already in the scoop — so it isn’t a second tub to buy and measure.
What you actually get
- Two full 680 g tubs, 1,360 g in total — one order, one delivery, twice the powder of the single tub.
- Each tub’s flavour is chosen separately — take two Chocolate, two Vanilla, or one of each. The two selectors above are independent.
- 30 g of protein per scoop — from an Isolate Protein & Peptide Blend plus whey protein concentrate, carrying 6.8 g of BCAAs including 3.3 g of L-leucine.
- Creatine is already in the scoop — 3 g of creatine monohydrate, inside the 3–5 g per day maintenance intake described in the ISSN position stand [1].
- Low carbohydrate, low fat — 3 g of carbohydrate (2 g sugars) and 2.5 g of fat per scoop, at 150 calories.
- Every per-serve number is published below — the full panel is written out on this page, not left in a label photo.
What the two-pack costs. The pack is $110.00, which works out at $55.00 a tub. Bought one at a time at the price Xplosiv is charging today for a single 680 g tub — $59.95 — two tubs come to $119.90, so the pack is $9.90 less than buying them separately.
Both prices checked against this store on 4 August 2026. The price shown on this page and at checkout always applies. This pack is over the threshold for free nationwide shipping under the current delivery policy.
Why the two-pack instead of one tub
One 680 g tub does not cover a training block. Train four or five days a week, take a shake on most of them, and a single tub is gone well before the block is. Re-ordering mid-block means a second delivery and a gap where the shakes stop, which is usually where daily protein intake quietly drops off.
Two tubs is the smallest real stock-up. 1,360 g arrives in one order, and because the two flavour selectors are independent you can run Chocolate through the week and switch to Vanilla when you have had enough of it — or simply double up on the one you already know you like.
Both tubs are the same formula. Each scoop is built on an Isolate Protein & Peptide Blend (whey peptides, whey protein isolate, whey protein isolate 97%) with whey protein concentrate, processed using MuscleTech’s multi-phase filtration, and carries 30 g of protein, 6.8 g of BCAAs and 3 g of creatine monohydrate.
What the protein and the creatine are doing. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass [3], and a meta-analysis of 49 studies found protein supplementation increased resistance-training gains in muscle mass and strength in healthy adults [2]. Creatine monohydrate is one of the most-studied sports-nutrition ingredients; the ISSN position stand describes 3–5 g per day as an effective maintenance intake alongside resistance training [1].

How to use it
- Open one tub at a time — keep the second sealed. Powder keeps better in an unopened tub than a half-empty one.
- Mix one scoop with cold water or milk — around 250 ml is a good starting point; use more for a thinner shake, less for a thicker one. Your tub carries MuscleTech’s own mixing directions.
- Time it around training — after a session, or at any point in the day where your protein intake is short.
- Scale to your intake, not the tub — one or two scoops a day depending on how much protein your meals already cover.
- Store both tubs sealed, cool and dry — keep the scoop inside the tub and the lid tight between uses.
Is the two-pack right for you?
Built for
- Lifters training four or more days a week who empty a 680 g tub inside a month
- People who would rather have protein and creatine in one scoop than two containers
- Anyone who already knows they like Nitro-Tech in Chocolate or Vanilla
- Two people sharing a protein tub, or anyone who wants a spare in the cupboard
Not for
- Anyone under 18
- Pregnant or breastfeeding, unless a healthcare professional advises otherwise
- Anyone with a milk or soy allergy — every scoop contains both
- Vegans and anyone avoiding dairy — this is a whey (milk) protein
- First-time buyers who have not tasted the flavour yet — Xplosiv cannot refund an opened tub for flavour, so start with a single tub
- Anyone advised by a health professional to limit creatine or added protein
What people run alongside it
You probably do not need a separate creatine tub. At 3 g a scoop, Nitro-Tech already lands inside the maintenance range in the ISSN position stand [1] — a standalone creatine monohydrate only really earns its place if you are running a loading protocol or taking creatine on non-shake days.
If two tubs will not last your block, Xplosiv also lists the same 1.5 lb tub as a four-tub pack and a six-tub pack, and stocks Nitro-Tech in a 1.8 kg tub if you would rather have it in one container. Prefer to try it before committing to two? Start with the single 680 g tub.
FAQ
What exactly is in the MuscleTech Nitro-Tech 2-pack?
Two 680 g (1.5 lb) tubs of MuscleTech Nitro-Tech — 1,360 g of powder in total. Both tubs are the same formula: 30 g of protein, 6.8 g of BCAAs and 3 g of creatine monohydrate per scoop. You choose the flavour of each tub separately when you add the pack to your cart.
Can I order one Chocolate and one Vanilla?
Yes. The pack has two independent flavour selectors, one per tub, so you can take one Chocolate and one Vanilla, or two of the same flavour. Chocolate and Vanilla are the two flavours stocked in the 1.5 lb size, and the nutrition figures are the same for both.
Does Nitro-Tech contain creatine?
Yes — 3 g of creatine monohydrate in every scoop. This original Nitro-Tech formula lists it listed on the panel under “Scientifically Studied Musclebuilder”. Not every Nitro-Tech does — the Nitro-Tech Whey Gold line is whey only, with no added creatine, so check the panel if you are switching between them.
How much protein is in a scoop of Nitro-Tech?
30 g of protein per scoop, from an Isolate Protein & Peptide Blend (whey peptides and whey protein isolate) plus whey protein concentrate. That scoop also carries 6.8 g of BCAAs — 3.3 g leucine, 1.8 g isoleucine, 1.7 g valine — alongside 3 g of carbohydrate, 2.5 g of fat and 150 calories.
Is Nitro-Tech suitable if I am dairy-free or vegan?
No — it is a whey (milk) protein. Nitro-Tech is made from milk, and the formula also contains soy ingredients. It is not suitable for anyone with a milk or soy allergy and it is not vegan. It is also processed in a facility that handles wheat, egg, tree nut, peanut, fish and shellfish ingredients.
What is a Formulated Supplementary Sports Food?
It is a food-standards category. Nitro-Tech is labelled and sold under in New Zealand and Australia: a food formulated to help people in training meet specific nutritional goals, such as raising daily protein intake. It is a food, not a medicine, and the advisory statements printed on the tub apply.
Can I return the pack if I do not like the flavour?
No — flavour is not treated as a fault. Xplosiv’s returns policy covers unopened, unused product within 7 days, and excludes refunds or credits for flavour, consistency, mixability or a change of preference. Return postage on a non-faulty return is at your cost. Faulty or damaged stock is handled separately.
Is Nitro-Tech certified for banned substances?
No certification is claimed. Xplosiv does not hold a third-party banned-substance certification for this Nitro-Tech line, and none is claimed on the pack we stock. If you compete under an anti-doping programme, check with your federation and choose a product carrying a current batch certification before you use it.
